Francois Myburgh returns for yet another rhino fundraiser
Emergency services will be on standby the whole day in case of need.
Walk for Rhinos, a non-profit organisation that was founded in 2014 by Francois Myburgh, will be holding a fundraising event on 1 December at Key West Shopping Centre.
The event is billed as a Rhino Fun Day and will start at 8am and finish at 5pm. Some of the entertainers that have been secured include Dozi and Marius Strydom. Ollie the Clown will also be there to entertain the young ones.
The organisation’s main goal is to raise funds for the protection of rhinos and to raise awareness about the worldwide rhino survival issue. Ultimately, the organisation’s goal is to purchase a rhino calf and breed with it.
There will be a train and jumping castles for the kids, and a raffle, with prizes that amount to R30 000 in value, will be drawn on the day. A Mr and Mrs Walk for Rhinos senior and junior will also be crowned.
Myburgh has completed four walks to raise funds for rhino conservation. The last one, in 2017, saw him walking from Magaliesburg to Cape Town and back up to Port Elizabeth where he ended his walk.
