EWC fight night coming to Weltevreden Park with Team Mayhem on the cards
Parking will be available at both Hyundai and the Kia dealership next door.
Mayhem Fitness Academy has secured a fight for one of its fighters, Morgan Hunter, at the Extreme Warrior Championship (EWC) Fight Night 10 on 24 November. Morgan is not only an active mixed martial arts (MMA) fighter, but also trains a number of students at the Mayhem Academy. Thus, in between training future MMA fighters, Morgan can be found hard at work preparing himself for his upcoming fight at EWC Fight Night 10. Morgan was able to secure himself a late entry by organising a fight against an opponent he has not fought before. “We’ve never faced off, but we have similar backgrounds and it should be a good fight. I’m really looking forward to it,” Morgan said.
Morgan, who has fought in the welterweight and light heavyweight divisions in the past, will be taking part in the middleweight division, where he feels comfortable at the moment. He feels he has a great team behind him, and is expecting a good turnout by the community at EWC Fight Night 10.EWC was initially founded to grow the amateur MMA scene in Africa by promoting fighters, clubs, and naturally the sport as a whole.
EWC Fight Night 10 will be yet another event aimed at growing the sport, and will be taking place at Hyundai’s Weltevreden Park dealership. Doors at Hyundai will be open from 5pm onward with the first fight taking place at 6pm.
Tickets will cost R150 at the door, and only R100 online at https://www.quicket.co.za. There will also be limited tables of 10 available for a fight and dine ring-side experience including a three-course meal for R5 000. For the general audience, there will be a cash bar as well as a number of food trucks available. Parking will be available at both Hyundai and the Kia dealership next door.
