Mrs SA finalists support Women4Women by selling cupcakes
Nomi and Melissa packed up just after 2pm, having raised about R7 000 for W4W.
Two of Mrs South Africa’s Top 25 finalists, who both hail from Roodepoort, sold cupcakes in order to raise funds for Cape Town-based NPO Women4Women.
Melissa Charnley, who hails from Constantia Kloof, and Nombina Habangana (Nomi as she’s affectionately known), who hails from Little Falls, set up their table in a local mall at 10am, with a very special target in mind; raising more than R10 000 for the Mrs South Africa pageant’s chosen charity, Women4Women. The ladies set out to do so by selling not only cupcakes, but items of clothing as well.

They received tremendous help from RARE Steakhouse, which purchased two boxes of cupcakes, and also provided Melissa and Nomi with free beverages for the day. The ladies arguably chose the right day to set up their stall as it fell on the month-end weekend and the mall was naturally busy with thousands of patrons.
Despite being short of their target, Nomi said they were still happy to have raise so much for such an amazing organisation.
