Five-year-old Marunique crowned Tiny Miss United World 2018
Despite this being her first international competition, Marunique already has 75 national titles.
Adding to the more than 75 national modelling titles already under her belt, Marunique Meyer was officially crowned Tiny Miss United World 2018 on 29 September.
Marunique, who turns six on 18 October, began modelling in April 2016, at the age of three, when her mom began taking her for modelling classes on the advice of her music teacher at the time. She felt that Marunique was shy and modelling could boost her self-confidence.

The Miss United World 2018 pageant, which was Marunique’s first international pageant, took place from 23 to 29 September in Thessaloniki, Greece at the Grand Hotel Palace’s Royal Theatre.
More than 60 participants partook in the Mister and Miss United World pageants, with models from as many as 15 countries taking part. Marunique took part in the 4 to 7-year-old category, and was tasked with certain community work prior to the competition.

She also had to attend an interview with 28 judges from various countries right around the world. When it came time for the competition, Marunique had to don two different costumes, a national costume which adequately represents her country as well as a fantasy costume in accordance with the competition’s theme, ‘Smile to the World’.
After a week of competition in Greece, Marunique was finally crowned 2018’s Tiny Miss United World.
