Construction workers pounce on wanted suspect

According to the report, the second suspect managed to flee into the neighbouring veld and crossed the N1 highway to Fairland, but units were waiting for him.

Construction workers recently assisted in the arrest of two suspects who had been playing cat and mouse with security personnel in the Weltevreden Park area.

The suspects, according to BCI Security, were wanted for attempting to break into a property in the suburb. The suspects had allegedly cut open an electric fence to gain entry to the property.

When an alarm was raised, a search was conducted with the description of the suspects. Subsequent to that, one of them was apprehended by one of the security companies in the area.
