Pedestrian knocked over in Zandspruit
He said, “Paramedics assessed the man and found that he had sustained numerous injuries which left him in a critical condition".
A man believed to be in his 40s was left critically injured this morning, Thursday, 26 July, when he was hit by a light motor vehicle at the Beyers Naudé Drive and Bothma Road intersection in Zandspruit.
ER24 spokesperson, Russel Meiring, said their paramedics arrived on the scene to find the man lying on the side of the road while the light motor vehicle had come to a stop in the middle of the road. Amidst the scene, another light motor vehicle had rear-ended the car that had initially collided with the pedestrian. Fortunately, no injuries were sustained, according to Meiring.

He said, “Paramedics assessed the man and found that he had sustained numerous injuries which left him in a critical condition.
“The man was treated for his injuries and provided with advanced life support interventions before he was transported to Helen Joseph Provincial Hospital for urgent care”.
Local authorities were on the scene for further investigations.
