Security officer foils house breaking
According to information from Beagle Watch’s Facebook page, their response officer noticed suspicious activities around a property's main gate and immediately went to investigate.
A Beagle Watch Security officer saved the day after disturbing suspects who were allegedly on a mission to commit a housebreaking in Weltevreden Park on 12 July.
According to information from Beagle Watch’s Facebook page, their response officer noticed suspicious activities around a property’s main gate and immediately went to investigate.

“As he approached, he noticed four men trying to gain entry into the property by derailing the main gate. At this point, the suspects realised that they had been caught in the act and tried to make a getaway,” the post read.
The officer gave chase and managed to apprehend and detain all the suspects on the corner of Haak-en-Steek Avenue and JG Strydom Road.

Honeydew Police were contacted to attend the scene and all four suspects were arrested.
The quick thinking and bravery of the officer was commended by his company.
