Huge arrests in the JHB West Cluster
“All the suspects will be appearing in various courts within the cluster,” said Honeydew Police spokesperson, Captain Balan Muthan.
A total of 154 suspects were locked behind bars in the Johannesburg West Police Cluster between 2 and 8 July.
Spokesperson for Honeydew Police Station, Captain Balan Muthan, indicated that the suspects were arrested for various crimes ranging from drunken driving and shoplifting, to possession of drugs, business robbery, hijacking, rape and murder.
“All the suspects will be appearing in various courts within the cluster,” said Muthan.

Muthan added that various stations also conducted educational talks on all aspects of crime within their respective policing areas. He also mentioned that high visibility at shopping malls was also maintained in a bid to reduce cash-in-transit heists.
