Cradlestone’s ‘dino-mite’ exhibition thrills young and old

A shadow appears, followed by a face with teeth as big as chairs and a head as big as a car. It's a dinosaur!

There’s ripples in your Mugg and Bean coffee. A screeching sound echoes through the food court. The thud, thud of massive feet makes everyone around you nervous, and it’s safe to say you’re also not holding things together very well.

A shadow appears, followed by a face with teeth as big as chairs and a head as big as a car. It’s a dinosaur! They’re back from the dead and ready to show off their gnarly claws and terrifying ‘rawrs’.

In conjunction with the release of Jurassic World 3, a bunch of prehistoric creatures came alive at Cradlestone Mall to take shoppers to the Lost World for the school holidays.

There’s a T-Rex, a pterodactyl, a triceratops, and even a stegosaurus.

Catch a ride on one of them or slide down the belly of the beast on the massive inflatable dino. The live augmented reality, 24 animatronic dinosaurs, dinosaur rides and selfies inside dino eggs are all children’s favourites.

We’ve seen the movies, we know the story, now it’s up to the children of the West Rand to dig up the bones and put together the puzzle.

This mesmerising display is open until 15 July and is free of charge for the whole family to enjoy.

It reminds everyone of what might lie beneath the ground their feet are placed on so comfortably.

Another added bonus is that the mall will be offering visitors free parking from 1 July. The mall will keep the booms for security reasons, which will be activated with a button, upon entering and exiting.
