Maragon U/15s walk away with hard-fought bronze medal

The Maragon girls managed to finish with a bronze medal at this year's Jomo playoffs.

Maragon Ruimsig High School’s stellar U/15 netball endured a tough yet successful season this year that came to fruition at the Johannesburg-Mogale (Jomo) district tournament.

They started the season off by beating Hoërskool Bastion 19–15, and also beat Hoërskool Roodepoort 43–2 on the way to winning the league.

This ensured they would play in a sudden-death playoff against Crawford Lonehill, which the girls comfortably won 29–7.

This saw them make it to the Jomo tournament where they held a home-ground advantage, as it was held at Maragon Ruimsig.

The girls poured their hearts and souls into the matches at the Jomo tournament, winning five of their seven matches.

These impressive results saw them finish with a hard-earned bronze medal, as well as a spot in the Gauteng Championships.
