I was surprised to read that Maziya General Services say the high water table in Weltevreden Park is a challenge that delayed the pipeline project that has destroyed our suburb.
Everyone knows about the high water table. Didn’t they test the ground before quoting and agreeing to deadlines? Or did our city councillors – supposed to represent our interests and protect our neighbourhood – perhaps receive kickbacks for appointing contractors who didn’t know what they were doing?
