The cause of the collision has not yet been confirmed and authorities will be investigating. After the incident community members picked up many of the cans and food off the road.

The truck carrying the Schweppes did not overturn and much of the cans remained on the trailer, but this did not stop community members from looting it. Police and traffic officials tried their best to keep the looters from stealing everything from the trailer.
