Popular fruit and veg robbed at gunpoint
Honeydew Police spokesperson Captain Balan Muthan said police are looking for four suspects involved in this armed robbery.
Honeydew police are investigating a case of business robbery at a popular fruit and vegetable store.
The store, situated at Eagle’s Landing Shopping Centre was allegedly robbed at gunpoint on 9 April, and an estimated amount of R40 000 was stolen.
Honeydew Police spokesperson Captain Balan Muthan said police are looking for the four suspects involved in this armed robbery.

“The complainant alleged he was busy preparing the pallet for flowers and veg outside the shop when he was approached by four suspects,” he said.
He added, “They threatened him with firearms and demanded money. They eventually went inside the shop, where he took them to the office to show them the money.”
He said further that one of the suspects hit the complainant with the butt of his firearm before fleeing the scene.
Muthan said CCTV footage has been obtained. Fortunately, no shots were fired.
