Angry son criticises perpetrators for attacking his 80-year-old father

According to a report shared on Facebook by Johan, to which he attached a graphic photo of his father covered in blood, the incident was understood to have taken place on 10 March in Randpark Ridge.

 

“What kind of cowards kick an 80-year-old man (my dad, Rev Braam van Wyk) in his face while his hands are tied behind his back?” asked an outraged Johan van Wyk, venting his anger on social media after his father and a friend were allegedly targeted by criminals.

It is unclear whether the incident was a house robbery or hijacking, since Rev Braam’s Mercedes Benz was used by the suspects to escape the scene. However, police have been approached with this information. Also, Solid Rock Church, where Rev Braam is understood to be serving, has also been approached for further comment.

In the post, Johan went on to state that his father’s friend was stabbed to death. “They also killed my father’s friend, a wonderful man, retired Professor Kobus Naude by stabbing him with a knife in the heart,” he shared.
