Man knocked over by light motor vehicle

A man, believed to be in his 20s, was left critically injured when he was knocked over by a light motor vehicle on Christiaan De Wet Road in Allen’s Nek on Thursday, 1 March.

“Paramedics assessed the man and found that he had sustained numerous injuries which left him in a critical condition.

“Treatment and advanced life support interventions were immediately initiated, in an effort to stabilise the patient’s condition,” Meiring explained.

Once treated, the man was transported to the Helen Joseph Hospital for further care, he added.

“The driver of the light motor vehicle fortunately escaped injury,” Meiring concluded.
