Golden Drifters defeat Panorama FC in first step in partnership

As part of a new partnership between the two entities, a friendly match was held between Golden Drifters Academy and Panorama Football Club.

Panorama Football Club (FC), which has already registered more than 200 players for 2018, have made a decision to begin a new partnership with Golden Drifters Academy.

The first step in what promises to be a successful partnership for both parties involved, was a friendly match held between the two sides on Wednesday, 24 January.

Panorama decided to make use of the opportunity to try and mould their U/17 side, which has only recently begun training together.

Many of the players have played various age groups together, with some being promoted from last year’s U/15 side, but this was the first time they were able to play together as a unit.

The match was played in thirds, each 20 minutes long, with Panorama rotating their players every third to give everyone a shot at proving himself.

At the end of the trial game, Golden Drifters emerged victorious by four goals to two.

According to Panorama FC chairman and director, Michael Michael, “We have been trying to reach out and see if we can help each other, and this was the first step in what could be a fruitful partnership. Drifters might not always have access to the best facilities, and hopefully this partnership will give us the opportunity to assist them in that matter.”

Michael also stated that registrations opened on 15 January and anyone from U/6 to U/19 is welcome to join the club.
