Impounded vehicle linked to two robberies

BCI Security indicated there were two suspects in the vehicle but one of them managed to flee from the officer.

 

A vehicle was reportedly impounded and one suspect arrested after it was linked to a recent robbery outside a nursery school in Wilgeheuwel.

BCI Security reported about a woman who was robbed outside the school and informed their social media followers about the impoundment of the vehicle which was used during a crime in Blairgowrie.

“On Saturday morning, a person was robbed outside the Blairgowrie Post Office. A reaction officer from Beagle Watch Security was flagged down and gave chase after the suspects left in a black BMW, [managing] to corner the suspects in Linden,” said Gary Jordaan from BCI Security.

He indicated there were two suspects in the vehicle but one of them managed to flee from the officer.

“Intelligence shared between security companies, Community Police Forums and other intelligence sources enabled us to link the vehicle to two other armed robberies.

“This arrest goes to show that when all role-players start to work together we can achieve great things,” said Jordaan, praising the team effort put in by the different law enforcers.
