Hail of bullets riddle vehicle in attempted hijacking ordeal
The driver of the vehicle was rushed to hospital after being shot in the lower body.
The driver of a BMW Z4 was shot in an alleged attempted hijacking on the corner of Ontdekkers and Hendrik Potgieter Roads late this afternoon (23 January).
The Northsider has gathered that the driver of the vehicle was rushed to hospital after being shot in the lower body.

It is unclear at this stage the number of perpetrators involved, however, police have closed off one of the lanes on Ontdekkers Road for forensic investigators to comb the scene.
This incident has resulted in traffic congestion in both directions on the road.
