Passionate footballers invited for trials
“We are looking for youngsters to play in our U/9, U/11, U/13, U/15, U/17 and U/19 teams, so we can start putting our squads together for next year,” said Michael Michael, the academy’s technical director and chairman.
Is your child passionate about playing football? Here’s a chance for him/ her to fulfill that dream.
The Panorama Football Club will be hosting its trials for 2018 on 28 and 29 November for everyone between the ages of 9 and 19.
“We are looking for youngsters to play in our U/9, U/11, U/13, U/15, U/17 and U/19 teams, so we can start putting our squads together for next year,” said Michael Michael, the academy’s technical director and chairman.
Requirements:
Michael said players are required to produce a copy of their birth certificate and be at the club on the given dates. “They must be at the club at 5.30pm. Our coaches will have two days to put them through their paces, and from there on other necessary documents will be required as time goes by,” he explained.
Michael further explained that the club is divided into categories, i.e. the elite and the social academy. “Panorama has two divisions. Firstly we have the elite academy, which is for the more serious players. They are required to train four times a week. The social academy caters for children who want to play soccer just for the love of the game.”
The Club:
Panorama Football Club is one of the oldest academy clubs in Johannesburg, with its teams playing in the Gauteng Development League.
The academy has exciting tournaments and support from local coaches and retired South African footballers. The club recently hosted its prize-giving ceremony which was attended by the likes of Matthew Booth and Stanton Fredericks, both former Bafana Bafana players.
