Trevor Gumbi’s divorce tour to hit Silverstar Casino
Gumbi plans to deliver this message of love and life with hilarity and a positive outcome in spite of tremendous adversity while trying to cope as the self-proclaimed most emasculated man ever.
South African comedian Trevor Gumbi will be diving deep into the drama which has shaped his life in a hilarious fashion when he rocks Silverstar Casino for his show, ‘The Divorce Tour’ on Saturday, 4 November.
The planned tour comes after calling it quits with his ex-wife Lucille Gumbi.
Gumbi’s show tells the tale of a 37-year-old recovering drug addict and father, who, in a short space of time, has battled addiction, found love, created life, filed for bankruptcy, won it all and lost it all – all before the age of 35.
What is left of life? What is there still to be done? Are there any experiences still to be had? Is it time to throw in the towel and live life on the edge?
The funnyman will be giving answers to these questions at the show.
Despite it all, he was quoted as saying, “It’s better to have loved and lost, than not to have loved at all”.
Gumbi plans to deliver this message of love and life with hilarity and a positive outcome in spite of tremendous adversity while trying to cope as the self-proclaimed most emasculated man ever.
Ebenhaezer Dibakwane, the winner of the Newcomer Award at the 6th annual Savanna Comic’s Choice Awards last year, will open the show for Gumbi, who is also the presenter of Friends Like These, a popular weekly show on SABC 1.
