The book project was part of assisting the hospital in stocking up their libraries.

Learners from Maragon Ruimsig Pre-School recently donated more than 200 books and games for patients of the Nelson Mandela Children’s Hospital in Parktown.

The book project was launched to assist the new hospital in stocking up their libraries.

This newly built hospital will care for children from birth to 18 years, while families will be accommodated in the hospital’s ‘hotel rooms’, according to Natasha Joubert, the head of marketing at Maragon.

“We were taken on a grand tour of this amazing facility, which is absolutely child-centred in every way. They invest in the well-being of little people, just as much as we do,” she said.

She added that Maragon Pre-School is planning on continue building a supportive relationship with the hospital.
