New Harvest gets crafty for new classrooms

New Harvest Christian Fellowship Church welcomed in the new season with a craft market, which raised money for their building fund.

The New Harvest Christian Fellowship Church recently held a Spring craft market to raise money for the church’s building fund.

Many stalls and vendors lined the lawns outside the church on 2 September and sold a variety of goods. Besides the stalls, visitors could participate in a flight simulation, play table-tennis or watch a dance demonstration inside the church hall. Children were able to make their own arts and crafts and could have a pony ride. The church’s tea garden was also popular resting place for all visitors.

The funds from the market will be used to build more classrooms for the church’s ever-growing children’s church.

Organiser Helen Meintjes explained it was the first time they’d held such a market. “It was meant to be a once-off, but people have been asking for us to hold it again next year,” she said.
