An inauguration fit for a ‘King’
The King's School West Rand welcomes its new prefect body.
In a recent moving ceremony at The King’s School West Rand, the school’s new prefects for 2017–2018 were inaugurated.

The school emphasised that they were seeking leaders who would lead from a place of being faithful followers of Christ and the values espoused by the school. The prefects repeated a pledge that indicated their commitment to serving the school by reflecting the values of the ‘King’ and being representatives of the school’s mission on 24 August.

The ceremony ended with great excitement as the head prefects were announced amid rousing applause from the rest of the school and some sound advice from the outgoing head boy, Kyle Cloete.

The new head prefects are Gabriel Badenhorst (deputy head boy), Gabriela van Staden (deputy head girl), Brendan van Wyk (head boy) and Onthatile Seane (head girl).

Principal Ken Langley commended the new prefects and expressed his confidence in them, while the prefects’ parents pinned on their badges. The school wishes this group of leaders an exciting journey ahead as God shapes them in His service.
