Reading your editorial article last week reminded me of a poem I wrote a while ago. It has been shortened to suit your printing. I hope you enjoy it sufficiently to find a small place for it in your excellent newspapers, especially the Northsider.
Please remember, don’t forget
The best car guards you can get
They’ll guide you into a parking space,
With a wave, and smile on their face
They ensure your windows and doors are locked,
While you’re shopping, they watch like a hawk!
When done, they’ll push your trolley along,
Put the shopping in the boot, so nothing’s wrong!
When you exit, you’ll be safe and sound,
And never have to visit the “lost and found”!
Remember to wave, and give them a tip
Because you know they deserve it
