Wide-scale power outage hits Roodepoort
Roodepoort – A wide-scale outage has left many suburbs in Roodepoort without power.
A wide-scale unplanned outage is currently effecting suburbs in Roodepoort.
Areas such as Ruimsig, Wilgeheuwel, Strubens Valley, Honeydew, Poortview and Weltevreden Park have been affected for over an hour already.
Ward 97 councillor, Leah Knott confirmed the outage and said City Power is investigating the problem. She thanked all those who had logged calls.
City Power tweeted that technicians have been dispatched to investigate the outage and that they would update the community once they have receive feedback from the field.
