Day at the Races fundraiser a galloping success

The day coincides with the Durban July, which also was one of the themes for the event.

It was posh, it was joyful and it was a success.

The Muldersdrift Business Women’s Association’s (MBWA) second Day at the Races fundraising event was a galloping affair which saw some of Muldersdrift’s most influential women come to the forefront.

MBWA friend and supporter, Edith Venter. She was also the emcee of the event.

Long-time supporter of the MBWA and friend of the association, socialite Edith Venter graced the role of emcee for the second time. Charity events are at the heart of Edith Unlimited, with Edith having over 30 years of experience raising not only funds but awareness for and of numerous charity organisations across the country.

The event was held at Kloofzicht Lodge which was the perfect setting for this ultra-chic event. The day coincides with the Durban July, which also was one of the themes for the event.

Mock races were held, much to the amusement of those who attended, while betting on the actual Durban July races was done later on … all in the name of charity of course.

The association’s main goal is to help grow Muldersdrift and its surrounds. One of their aims is to help grow the businesses of women in the area as well. The business network of women raises funds for the community and works towards a better future for many.

After a scrumptious lunch and wine pairings of note, the women indulged in the Muldersdrift countryside with a fittingly merry demeanour.
