A three-vehicle collision leaves 20 injured

Three-vehicle collision at Christiaan de Wet and Paul Kruger Roads junction leaves 20 people injured.

Two taxis and a BMW recently collided on the corner of Christiaan de Wet and Paul Kruger Roads, leaving several people injured.

The incident, which occurred on the afternoon of 12 July, left 19 people with minor injuries and one person with moderate to serious injuries. ER24 as well as other medical services were on scene.

Upon ER24’s arrival at 5.16pm, most of the patients had already exited from their vehicles and were walking around on scene.The driver of the BMW sustained minor injuries and was transported to a nearby hospital. The driver of one of the taxis was however trapped and needed to be extricated. Various medical services transported the other patients to nearby hospitals.

The exact circumstances surrounding the incident are not yet known but local authorities were on scene for further investigations.
