Update: Construction stopped on Wilhelmina Avenue and Jim Fouché
Due to a recent accident, construction has come to a halt to allow an investigation to take place.
Construction at the intersection of Wilhelmina Avenue and Jim Fouché Road has stopped until further notice.
After two vehicles collided at the intersection in a recent accident, no work has taken place as an investigation is under way. Delta BEC site technician, Diogo Borges, advised that the accident happened during the night and did not cause damage to any equipment or the construction site, and no workers were injured.

However, construction will not resume until the investigation is complete and the Department of Labour has followed its protocols. As a result, the temporary stop signs that were meant to be implemented to calm the traffic in the area and avoid accidents approaching the roadworks at this intersection will not be placed any time soon.
