Honeydew Police on top of recent crime
Honeydew Police are currently investigating two incidents in Honeypark and Weltevreden Park
Recent criminal activities in Weltevreden Park and Honeypark are under investigation by the Honeydew Police.
Spokesperson for the station, Captain Balan Muthan, said the recent crimes in the area include a business robbery on the corner of Hendrik Potgieter and Jim Fouché Road. Two armed men robbed a store of R15 000, alcohol and cigarettes.

In his last report John Baisley, the Honeydew Community Policing Forum’s Sector 2 chairperson, confirmed the biggest crime-related problems in the sector are burglaries, house robberies, theft of vehicles and theft out of vehicles, as well as driveway robberies.
In a separate incident a resident was held at gunpoint during a house robbery on Setter Street, Honeypark. The attacker entered through the back door, which was left open at the time. The suspect stole a plasma TV, laptop and cellphone.
Muthan said no arrests have been made but both incidents are under investigation.
