Power will soon be restored to Weltevreden Park

City Power confirms electricity will be restored shortly

Many residents of Weltevreden Park have been without power since 11am this morning.

City Power quickly picked up on the issue that was affecting households on Kloofhout Turn, Adamson Crescent, Matumie Avenue, and Theunis Street as well as the roads immediately around Panorama Primary School.

Sydney Mphahlele, spokesperson for City Power, said technicians are currently on site and power should be restored in one or two hours.

City Power let residents know via their Twitter page that a tripped distributor was the reason for the outage.
