Motorists urged to adhere to speed limits on JG Strydom
WELTEVREDEN PARK – Motorists are asked to be aware and adhere to the speed limits around the F46 Rand Water Project construction
The F46 Rand Water Project asks motorists to adhere to the temporary speed limits around the construction sites on JG Strydom Road.
Signs on JG Strydom Road and leading up to other affected areas where the traffic management plan has been put in place advise motorists to travel at 40km/h to avoid any accidents. Jan von der Heyde, communications liaison officer for the project, added that the cones, temporary speed humps and traffic delineators are there for the safety of road users.

He stated, the flagspersons on site are mainly to warn motorists of the nearby construction and do not control the traffic flow. It has happened that flagspersons have directed traffic but only when there has been heavy congestion, otherwise all normal traffic rules still apply.
All these precautions still apply to these areas at night.
