Police host Youth Day lecture in Zandspruit
ZANDSPRUIT – Honeydew Police Station gives a talk in Zandspruit on Youth Day.
Residents of Zandspruit were left encouraged and willing to overcome their obstacles in life after the Honeydew police, led by Warrant Officer Leshaba Ramalatso, and various other organisations hosted a Youth Day lecture on 16 June.
The event was dubbed the Zandspruit Youth Celebration and saw people of various age groups attending the gathering.
Ramalatso from the Social Crime Prevention Unit told Roodepoort Northsider that the main focus of the lecture was to address domestic violence and human trafficking in the area.
“The event was well-received by the community, especially the youth. Our main aim was to talk about domestic violence, human trafficking and other related crimes in the area,” he said.
