Another house in the Honeydew policing precinct fell victim to a daylight robbery on 3 May.
Spokesperson for the Honeydew Police Station, Captain Balan Muthan confirmed the incident.
He said, “The incident did occur, where a domestic worker and garden assistant were held at gunpoint and told to lie on the floor while the suspects grabbed valuables from the house.”
Muthan added that the workers informed the homeowner, who then rushed to the house and contacted the police.
“Valuables such as a flat-screen television, jewellery and a laptop, all totalling R150 000 were stolen during the robbery,” Muthan said.
He also mentioned that both workers were unharmed and the matter is being investigated.

This marks the fourth incident, in a string of daylight robberies and burglaries in the Honeydew policing area.
Police are still on the lookout for four suspects in connection with a Randpark Ridge house burglary on 26 April.
On 20 April, a woman ran for safety and locked herself in the bathroom when her residence was burgled during the day.
Also, a Radiokop business was hit during the day, where passersby heard gunshots and ran for safety.
Muthan further said that police are working tirelessly to nab the involved suspects.
