BREAKING: Ruimsig plot dwellers evicted by authority
RUIMSIG – No eviction letter was produced before the eviction.
Informal dwellers in Ruimsig have been allegedly thrown out by authority on 14 March from a piece of land that they had occupied.
It is alleged that residents woke up to find men in red overalls in the area who began to forcefully remove them from their shacks without an eviction letter.
The deployed unit has left the area in complete disarray, with household items such as beds, stoves and couches piled up on the side of the road.
