Grade 7s celebrate their valedictory

PANORAMA – Grade 7's bid farewell to their primary school.

Parents and teachers said their last goodbyes to their 2016 Grade 7 adventurers in education.

Panorama Primary School celebrated their Grade 7 valedictory service with all of their excited boys and girls well dressed in their gowns, caps, and colours.

Lucky Nkuta is the only one in his form class to have full attendance.

Kim Smith, Grade 7 head, opened the ceremony by congratulating the group of schoolchildren for their hard work. The teachers and parents were thanked for their persistence through the year.

Deputy head girl, Gabrielle Hoskins addressed her peers and encouraged them to reach for their dreams. She was followed by Lesedi Mailula, deputy head boy who said, “We should continue to carry our school motto and do only our very best.”

Guest speaker, Douglas Kruger, entertained the crowd with his delightful speech. He spoke about life and how failure was the best thing that could happen on the road to success. “Failure plays an incredibly important role in success,” said Kruger.

Awards were given to Grade 7s for class diligence and full attendance records, to cricket scorers, and arts and culture certificates.
