Former pupils of Agape Christian School in Weltevreden Park had the opportunity to return to their alma mater to enjoy a fun day at their beloved school, along with teachers and current pupils at the school.
The special Action Attraction Day was held on 13 August at Agape’s sports field. Theresa Jennings from the school explained that this day is the school’s annual fundraiser, while making it a fun day that won’t be forgotten by any participant. “The funds raised are going to be used to build spectator stands and shade-covering on our sports field,” said Jennings.
She explained that 14 different game stalls were set up where children could win prizes. There were jumping castles and rides, food stalls and a tea garden to add to the fun day. “We also had class art on the day. We auctioned the art to see which class makes the most money,” said Jennings. Pupils, who are now in high school, enjoyed the day, along with others, to show support for Agape.
A fun day that will be remembered by all pupils, long after they walked out of the Agape Christian School’s gates for the final time.
