ELECTIONS: When will we know who won?

Election results for the City of Johannesburg may only be declared on Friday.

This according to UJ Professor Mcebisi Ndletyana who explained larger municipalities with more votes like Joburg will only have a clear outcome from Thursday night.

“Barring any problems with counting the votes, we will be able to determine the outcome of Joburg by tomorrow night,” he said.

He added that the votes will be counted after 7pm today when voting stations close.
