GALLERY: 6-a-side football success
RADIOKOP – Six-a-side Panorama football tournament turned up the heat.
Panorama Football Club hosted the 6-a-side Tournament in Radiokop on 28 November.
The tournament consisted of one goal keeper and five field players.
The event started with group stages at 20 minutes a game.
Quarter- and -semi finals saw the game time increase by 30 minutes with the much-anticipated final at 60 minutes.
Although the event started off slowly, the players and fans quickly saw the field heating up with competitive game play.
Co-organiser Casper Steenekamp said, “We are starting to build up Panorama Football Club – this starts with social events such as the 6-a-side Tournament today.”
He added, “The teams and players that have arrived are old school players that used to be part of the original Panorama Football teams.”
The final game arrived between Power Rangers and Spook Boys.
Game play was strong for both teams with a forceful defensive side from Spook Boys.
Power Rangers bested Spook Boys with quick and precise passes near the goals.
Midfield play saw some interesting tackling from Spook Boys who played their hearts out.
The final result saw Power Rangers beating Spook Boys 1–0.
