McCoy Mrubata Jazz Evening

The magnificent and soul moving jazz star McCoy Mrubata is returning to the City of Gold due to popular demand. On 30 October the saxophone player will light up 71 Toby Street in Sophiatown with his soothing sounds. Booking for the event is essential to avaid disappointment. The star will start his spectacular performance at 8pm and tickets cost R110. Don’t forget to stack up your cooler box and pack some goodies in a picnic basket. Ice and glasses will be available at the venue.

The Banting Market

It’s summer time and we all want that beach body. Come on and stock up on sugar free, low-carb and gluten-free Banting food. 30 October at the Italian Club is a golden opportunity to fill up your cupboards with some healthy Banting products. The market runs from 9am until 1pm, entrance is free and a variety of Banting products such as Banting breakfasts, pizza, salads and even cake are available.

Chiano Sky Live at Silverstarcasino

Don’t miss the breathtaking live performance on 5 November by one of SA’s hottest stars, Chiano Skye. Fresh from her support slot with the international star Carly Rae Jepsen, the beautiful, young and sensual Sky will be performing at the Parker’s Comedy at Silverstar Casino at 6.30 pm. Tickets will go for R80 pre-sale or R100 at the door.

TJ’s Live Music

TJ Acoustic Club in Mark’s Park is calling on all music fans to come and enjoy a relaxed and chilled show of old and contemporary music on 5 November at 8pm. The show will include a variety of music such as bluesy ballads, popular jazz and even rock. If you’re in the mood for some good music, good people and fantastic food, do not miss this event. Tickets are R25.

Craft Beer Revolution Festival

Just because South Africa has not made the final it does not mean that beer lovers can’t still enjoy a cold one. If you love locally brewed beer do not miss the Craft Revolution Beer Festival in the Globe at Silverstar on 14 November. Discover South Africa’s top craft beers while indulging in gourmet street food. Gates open at 12 noon with live music throughout the day. Tickets are R80 and include a glass.
