Panorama Primary School gives back
WELTEVREDEN PARK - Panorama Primary School reflects on their charity initiatives.
Panorama Primary School has enjoyed a busy year with the implementation of charity initiatives.
As part of the Interwaste Plastic Tops and Tags project, Panorama Primary Schools is running ongoing competitions between the grades to collect bottle tops and tags from bread bags. A total of 50 000 tags or tops can be sent to Interwaste in exchange for a wheelchair. It took the school less than four weeks to collect their first 50 000 tags. The Grade 4 class won the competition, collecting 12 858 tags in total. They were awarded a picnic at school.

In the spirit of giving, the staff at Panorama Primary School began knitting berets for the premature babies of the neonatal ward of a nearby hospital. They even roped in family and friends to knit these tiny caps. The knitters managed to make about 100 berets to donate.
