A joint clean-up operation was held by Honeydew Police, JMPD and other security companies to take back the greenbelts in the community on 16 July.
During the hours between 3am until 11am, the entities worked together to move through numerous greenbelts in Radiokop, Randpark Ridge, Bromhof, Boskruin, North Riding and Sonneglans.
Burned grass areas in the greenbelt are visible along Erasmus and Elsie roads in Radiokop.
Also, illegal structures were removed near the driving range on Opera Road.
Honeydew spokesperson Warrant Officer Karen Jacobs confirmed, “Illegal structures were demolished and 19 persons arrested for bylaw infringements.”
