Truck fire on the N1
FAIRLAND — Tanker's burst tyre causes traffic delays on the road.
Emergency services responded to a scene on the N1 between 14th Avenue and Beyers Naudé after the tyre of a fuel tanker caught fire on the morning of 17 July.
According to the driver of the truck, it seemed the tyre was in a bind before it started to burn.
He said when he pulled over to the side, he noticed the tyre had caught alight.
Emer-G-Med was also on the scene.
No injuries were reported on scene.
Johannesburg Emergency Services were contacted to comment and they are yet to respond.
