Honeydew Police have sent out a warning to all ‘take-away’ outlets to warn their delivery drivers to take caution when doing their deliveries at night.
Although the police did not want to state the number of reported cases, spokesperson Warrant Officer Karen Jacobs said various incidents were reported where drivers of delivery motorbikes were hijacked while they were busy with deliveries.
She urged managers to always ensure that drivers are in possession of emergency contact numbers, should anything happen.
Details: Honeydew Police 011 8018613/4/5.
