A man in his 30s was arrested on 22 May in Hammanskraal for housebreaking and theft.
Detectives and police officers soon learned that the suspect had a trail of crimes in his name, including one at Featherbrooke Estate on 14 May 2014.
“Our Detective Sergeant Manama, Constable Bambiso and Lieutenant Mokhadi worked tirelessly locating the suspect and with the information used from tip-offs, they apprehended the suspect all the way in Hammanskraal in the North West [Province],” said Warrant Officer Hitler Ngwenya, spokesperson for Muldersdrift Police.
The man is expected to appear in the Krugersdorp Magistrates’ Court soon. According to WO Ngwenya, the suspect was found in possession of stolen goods believed to be stolen at Featherbrooke Estate.
These included cellphones and other gadgets.
