Local resident Sijbrand Kamer was shocked when he noticed that construction was occurring on Hendrik Potgieter Road next to Rebel Farmers on Jim Fouché Road.
“I was wondering what they are building there because it looks like a mini construction site,” Kramer said.
Ward 126 councillor Mike Tonkin was elated about the construction when he explained that the land will now be used for something worthwhile.
“The land will be used for a nursery.”
He continued and said that he is unsure about when the school will open but said that it is something that the area needed.
“I’m glad that the nursery is being constructed as we speak.”
Tonkin added and said that the land is owned by the council and no one so far is opposed to the construction of a nursery.
