UPDATE: Chemicals factory burns down
HONEYDEW – A fire has ripped through a chemical factory in Honeydew, causing extensive damage.
A chemicals factory has burned down in Laser Park, Honeydew in the early morning of 2 March.
Emergency Management Services where on scene to control the situation.
According to EMS Spokesperson Robert Mulaudzi, there was a fire at the factory at around 4am in the morning, however no one was injured.
“No one was injured, the only people who were available were security guards.
“Most part of the chemicals store room was badly damaged, however, we managed to save the administration office,” said Mulaudzi.
Mulaudzi said they are still investigating the cause of the fire.
