King Tut stays by popular demand

MULDERSDRIFT — Extra dates have been added to the Tutakhamen Exhibition at Silverstar Casino.

The Tutankhamun Exhibition at Silverstar has been extended – due to popular demand – until 12 April.

“We unfortunately cannot extend the exhibition closing date past 12 April 2015 and therefore stress the urgency for visitors to book now to avoid disappointment,” said Tyrone Thöle of Great World Exhibitions.

Members of the public certainly can’t seem to get enough of the legendary pharaoh and his treasures. The Tutankhamen Exhibition opened in December 2014 and more than 50 000 people have visited the lost treasures and artefacts of the Egyptian pharaoh.

The audio guide captivates visitors along the way from the moment the tomb is discovered.

Silverstar communication manager Tara Nicholas said special group discounts are available for pupils and their eduactors.

Tutankhamen and ancient Egypt are part of the Grade 5 curriculum and that appeal was recently extended to several schools on the West Rand.
