An unknown female body that was discovered in Mogale City on 2 February has still not been identified.
According to Muldersdrift police spokesperson, Warrant Officer Hitler Ngwenya, no one has come forward to identify the body and the cause of death is still a mystery.
“Investigations into the incident are still ongoing and a case of murder has been opened.”
WO Ngwenya said passers-by discovered what seemed to be a human body wrapped in blue plastic bag on a plot. Police members were later alerted and the body taken to the Roodepoort Mortuary for further investigations. The race and age of the deceased remain unknown.
“We urge anybody with information to please come forward and assist us locate the perpetrators of this crime,” Ngwenya reiterated.
