Let there be light
RUIMSIG – City Power steps in and fixes streetlights on Pierre Road and Hans Street.
The dark streets in Ruimsig namely Pierre Road and Hans Street will be lit up again following a project to renew the streetlight cables by City Power.
According to Ward 97 councillor Jaco Engelbrecht, these two streets in the suburb have always been in the dark and it’s a danger to motorists.
“These roads are also used by elderly motorists who live in a retirement village around the corner and it’s downright dangerous for them to use these roads at night.
“City Power is replacing all of the older cables and the streetlights on both of these streets will now be fully functional.”
He thanked the entity for taking the initiative to fix the streetlights that have been off for the last year.
