Please let Ms Gerber know that she is not the only one whose pet has been “abused” by Posh Paws (see ‘Dog burnt at parlour’ week ending 24 October). I think that they are just inhumane and should not even be dealing with animals. Last year my dogs went to them regularly and my maltese who was 10 yrs old at the time came home panting and coughing and unable to breathe. On inspection, I’d found that she was shaved so near to her skin around her neck that it bled and her paw was cut and bleeding. She hyperventilated for more than an hour and was terrified, and I then called the parlour where they could not offer an explanation except for “I’m sorry, Mam” which I found totally unacceptable.
Needless to say I do not take them there anymore and my poor maltese died a few months later of old age.
Can something not be done to close them down? Clearly the staff are not adequately trained to deal with different animals and the owner doesn’t care about them or she would’ve done something to change things around in the parlour or is it all about the money?
Thanks Ms Gerber for exposing them.
Regards
Mrs C Jansen
